Welcome the the Bass Chapel website. Information about the church can be found under the “Welcome” page. Address, phone, and map information is listed in the “About” page.
The site is maintained using the WordPress, which is open source software primarily designed for Blog websites. The software is easy to use and offers many functions that allows visitors to interact with the content on this website.
We now have four primary areas on the site, Pages, Posts, Downloads, and Podcasts.
We will use the “Pages” to supply static information like the address, welcome, leadership and history.
The “Posts” will provide general information and specific topics that visitors can respond to. To view a post click on the “Category“ of interest. A summary of the posts in that category will be displayed. To view the complete post click on the “Blue Title Header“. To respond to a post or to submit a new post, you have to register. The registration link is listed under “Meta“. The webmaster will determine if a comment or new post will be displayed.
We will provide text or audio items of interest for “Download“. Currently there is a test file of my dad, Willie Mitchell, singing a song titled Glory.
We also hope to provide copies of the pastor’s sermons in Podcast format for visitors to either play or download. We are currently using PodPress software to present the audio files. To play a file just click on the arrow in the circle graphic.
If you have questions please use the “Contact” form. Currently your input will be sent to the webmaster. After we go active on this site, this information will be sent to Pastor Larry.
Some Christian related blogs are listed under “Blogroll“, other websites of interest are listed under Links.
The Calendar is listed under Information.
News items will be listed as a “Post” and updated whenever we receive new information. You are welcome to submit new information by post or you can use the contact form.
The pictures on the site banner came from the site theme and also from pictures that I took of the church. I would be happy to receive pictures of people or activities concerning Bass Chapel or Christian related activities in the Greensboro area.
